Jobs and careers in Jenbach, Tyrol
Jenbach is where Jenbacher engines have been built for more than 65 years, and where the next generation is taking shape. Design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing share one site, so you work side by side with the people who know these engines inside out. Bring your ideas, and build on decades of experience.
Living and working here
Jenbach lies in the Inn Valley, between the Rofan and Karwendel mountains, about 35 km from Innsbruck. Trains get you to Innsbruck and Kufstein quickly, and the mountains start right outside the door, for skiing, hiking, or biking after work. Our company sports clubs make it easy to join in.
Working at the site
At INNIO, the everyday experience matters too. Many departments offer flextime and hybrid work with work-from-home days, and depending on the role, some teams work a 4.5-day week with Fridays ending at noon. On site, you will find a canteen known well beyond Jenbach, a training center with almost 400 courses a year, and offers such as physiotherapy and fitness classes. Sports events, welcome events, and company parties bring people together, while the Inclusion & Belonging network helps create a workplace where everyone feels they belong. Through a salary conversion program, you can lease an electric car or e-bike for private use. And through the Jenbacher Volunteers, colleagues support social initiatives in the local community.

How do I apply?
For most roles in Austria, it works like this: you apply online with your resume, and a confirmation email is on its way right after. We review your application and get in touch by phone or email. Depending on the role, you then meet us for one or more interviews, and if it is a match, your contract follows.
What are the shift schedules in production?
That depends on your role. Depending on the team, you work in a two-shift or three-shift model. Shift allowances follow the collective agreement, and for night shifts we pay more than the agreement requires.
Can I work from home?
In many departments, yes. Jenbach offers flextime and hybrid work that includes work from home. Your recruiting contact can tell you what applies to your role.
What do I need for a job in production?
A technical apprenticeship and authorization to work in Austria. We also look for people who work independently, stay flexible, and value precision.
When can I start?
Most roles start every Monday or at the beginning of a month, depending on availability.
How do I apply for an apprenticeship in Jenbach?
Applying is easy, and you can do it before the end of your ninth school year. There is no deadline, but applying in the winter before the September start gives you the best chances. After a first look at your application, we invite you to Jenbach for half a day: a short entrance test (Lehrlingscheck) and a conversation of about 15 to 30 minutes. Want to try it out first? Ask for a trial day at lehre.jenbach@innio.com. All you need is nine years of completed compulsory schooling, fluent German, and authorization to work in Austria.
How do internships in Jenbach work?
Internships are full time and last at least six months, with an option to extend. Summer internships are possible too. You can start at any time of the year. Our onboarding events take place either on a Monday or the first of the month. You apply on this website, we screen your application, you have one or two interview rounds, and if it is a match, you receive the offer. Depending on the role, we look for university students or graduates with authorization to work in Austria. Questions go to careers@innio.com.
