Machining technology apprenticeship
Precision makes the difference here.
A block of raw metal goes in, a precise part comes out, and you are the reason it fits. In this apprenticeship at INNIO in Jenbach, you read the drawing, set up the machine, and check every part against the numbers. On computer numerical control (CNC) machines, the program tells the machine what to do, and you make sure the result hits the mark.

An apprenticeship is a dual program: you learn the trade at work and in vocational school.
Year one
You start in our training workshop and learn the basics of your trade, with lots of hands-on practice from the first weeks.
Years two to four
More practice on real jobs, plus extra courses such as AutoCAD training and English classes.
Vocational school and Matura
You attend vocational school as part of your dual program. If you want, you can also earn your Matura, the Austrian university entrance qualification, alongside your apprenticeship, in cooperation with BFI. Committed apprentices finish it in less than four years.
After the apprenticeship
Your trade is just the start. Beate began as an apprentice and is VP Manufacturing in Jenbach today. Christoph started as a mechatronics apprentice and is now a Lead Expert in assembly.
